BHC parent Jeff Clarkson created this terrific slideshow that includes pictures from all of the Choir’s performances during the 2009-2010 school year. The slideshow was shown after the Choir’s performance at the Big Back Yard Show on May 26.

Photos for the slideshow are from a number of excellent photographers who generously provided permission to share their work. Among them are Joanne Foote, Lynn Williamson, Antoinette Perez, Jeff Clarkson, Chan Geltemayer, Kathy Carr, Gavin Tabone, Sandra Ritz, and Glenn Chase.

AISD Ch 22 logo

Fifth and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir are scheduled to tape a program for AISD’s Channel 22 on May 6. After school the students will travel to the District’s media production studios in Hyde Park. Production of the finished program will take more than a month, but when it airs we’ll be sure to announce it on this web site. You can also keep an eye on the Channel 22 programming schedule on their blog.

Barton Hills third and fourth graders perform outside at Eaglestock

This video features Barton Hills third and fourth grade choir members performing at Eaglestock, an outdoor concert held on the playground steps at Barton Hills in front of a large and appreciative crowd. Special guests for the final three songs are Barton Hills second graders.

The choir is accompanied by Aaron “Hair Doctor” Dembe on guitar, Jason “Mr. Boom Boom” Brint on bass, Gavin Tabone on keyboard, Jake “Mr. Bubbles” Perlman on drums, and Amy Geltemayer on violin. Video was taken by Lynn Williamson.

Choir members sing the Barton Hills School Choir Song accompanied by
their all-star musicians: Aaron Dembe, Gavin Tabone, and Jake Perlman

Choir Director Gavin Tabone used Final Cut Pro to put together this video that shows the BHE choir and their talented musicians recording the new school Choir song. Through the magic of technology you can see and hear the impressive final combination even though the parts were recorded separately. This video is just a couple of minutes long, but is guaranteed to give you chills of pride and bring a smile to your face.
