The Barton Hills Choir performs Simon and Garfunkel’s classic Bridge Over Troubled Water in this music video featuring Choir Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards, Aaron Dembe on electric bass guitar, and Jake Perlman on drums.
On April 6 the Barton Hills Choir set off on Austin’s famous downtown Hike and Bike Trail to sing at three pianos located along the way. The pianos are among 14 placed around downtown Austin by artist Johnny Walker as part of an interactive art exhibit called Play Me, I’m Yours.
The video was shot by Amy Geltemayer and features the Choir’s stops at the pianos located at Lou Neff Point, the Pfluger pedestrian bridge near Lamar Boulevard, and finally on Doug Sahm Hill in Butler Park.
Fifth and sixth grade choir members from the 2009-2010 school year recorded a show at the AISD media production studios in Hyde Park on May 6. The 22 minute show is scheduled to air on AISD 22 (Channel 22 on Time Warner’s cable system) on the following dates:

The Barton Hills Choir performed their final event for the 2009-2010 school year at Maria’s Taco Express on a hot Saturday afternoon on June 5. Fifth and sixth grade Choir members were joined by special guest 4th graders and an appreciative crowd grateful for cool drinks and the shade provided by the umbrellas and overhead deck.
