Fifth and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir performed a show featuring rock’n’roll classics and holiday favorites at Austin’s legendary taqueria, Maria’s Taco Express on December 15. The concert featured Aaron Dembe on electric guitar, Jake Perlman on drums, and Tom Treanor on bells. Enjoy the pictures below kindly contributed by Perry Tongate. The Barton Hills Choir performed their final show of the 2009-2010 school year on Saturday, June 5 at Maria’s Taco Express, the famous South Austin taqueria featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The outdoor patio was packed with family, friends, and other diners who enjoyed a great show as the Choir performed a 30 minute set.

The Barton Hills Choir performed their final event for the 2009-2010 school year at Maria’s Taco Express on a hot Saturday afternoon on June 5. Fifth and sixth grade Choir members were joined by special guest 4th graders and an appreciative crowd grateful for cool drinks and the shade provided by the umbrellas and overhead deck.

Fifth and sixth grade BHC members will perform their final show of the year on Saturday, June 5 at the world-famous Maria’s Taco Express at 2529 South Lamar (just south of Bluebonnet, next to Walgreen’s – see map). Maria’s is a South Austin institution, and was recently featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
The show starts at 4:00 PM, but be sure to come early to get a good seat, order some great food, and pick up the new choir CD which will be on sale for $10 each.
