Barton Hills fith and sixth grade choir members perform Pinball Wizard

Enjoy this rousing rendition of Pinball Wizard, performed by 5th and 6th grade Barton Hills choir members. Musicians include Choir Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards,  Jake “Mr. Bubbles” Perlman on drums, Jason “Mr. Boom Boom” Brint on bass, and Aaron “Hair Doctor” Dembe on guitar. Video taken by Lynn Williamson and edited by Gavin Tabone.

Fun facts about Pinball Wizard:

  • Pinball Wizard was written by Pete Townshend and performed by the English rock band The Who. It was featured on their 1969 rock opera album Tommy.
  • Townshend once called it “the most clumsy piece of writing [he’d] ever done, and added the song to Tommy as an afterthought to lighten the load of the rock opera’s heavy spiritual overtones.

This video is 480×270 pixels, 19MB, and 2:46 in length, so a high-speed internet connection is recommended (but the file size is small enough to play on your iPhone). Click on image above to play (requires QuickTime).
