The Austin American Statesman online photo gallery of the Zilker Tree Lighting included a nice photo by Rodolfo Gonzalez of a section of the Choir. You can view it here.

[hidepost=0]Special Parent Note: Did you see any other media coverage of the Choir at the Zilker Tree Lighting? If you recorded a news report or have a link to share, let me know! A City of Austin Channel 6 photographer taped the entire show, and told parents in attendance they will be playing it during the holidays. [/hidepost]

Chan Geltemayer provided these excellent pictures from the Choir’s performance at the Zilker Tree Lighting December 6. Despite a light mist in the air there was a large, appreciative audience that saw the choir perform a set of Christmas classics. We’ll have video on the web site soon, but for now click on the images below to see larger versions of these pictures.

The Barton Hills Choir will be performing at the Zilker Park Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 6th. This is a wonderful free event the city has celebrated since 1967 and the kids will have wonderful holiday songs to share. See the city’s web site for details on transportation, parking, and more. The event begins at 6 PM – come early to get your hot chocolate and claim a good seat!

[hidepost]Parent Notes: Kids need to be there by 5pm. The show starts at 6pm. Parking is in the field next to the event. Kids need to wear the new red choir shirt and jeans. They can wear a jacket or sweater if it is chilly. They are also encouraged to wear either a Santa hat, reindeer antlers, or elf ears.[/hidepost]
