5th and 6th grade members of the Barton Hills Choir held their annual Sock Hop at the school on Thursday evening, Sept. 27, performing classic hits from the 50’s for the audience to enjoy and dance to. Barton Hills Choir fifth and sixth graders performed their Sock Hop show for the school during the day on Thursday, Sept. 27, treating their fellow students to hits from the 1950’s like Yakety Yak and Johnny B. You’re invited to the Sock Hop Show!
The Barton Hills Choir invites you to their 2012 Sock Hop Show, Thursday, September 27, in the school cafeteria. 5th and 6th grade choir members will be performing your favorite songs from the 50’s, including hits like:
- Yakety Yak
- Big Girls Don’t Cry
- Donna/Earth Angel
- Johnny B. Goode
- and more!
The show is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to wear sock hop attire (children must be accompanied by an adult) so mark your calendar, call your family and friends, and get your poodle skirt and saddle shoes ready for a swinging evening with the Barton Hills Choir At the Hop!

The official 2010/2011 Barton Hills Choir CD entitled Golden Oldies will be available beginning Tuesday, April 12. The CD was produced by Choir Director Gavin Tabone, mixed and mastered by Jake “Mr. Bubbles” Perlman, with artwork by Jason “Boom Boom” Brint.
Musicians for the CD include Gavin Tabone on keyboards, Aaron “Hair Doctor” Dembe on guitar and bass, and Jake “Mr. Bubbles” Perlman on drums.
