The Barton Hills Choir 2nd Grade Choir Camp ran from 6/9 to 6/13. The kids worked on their sight-reading and ear training and prepared for their big show at Book People on 6/14. The Barton Hills Choir Camp members performed for a large and appreciative audience in the school cafeteria on the evening of June 13. Comprised of 2nd-6th graders, the choir was accompanied by Director Gavin Tabone on piano, Jason Brint on bass, Don Cento on guitar, and Jake Perlman on drums.
The kids sang tunes by Muse, Wilco, and The Flaming Lips as well as other choir classics. Enjoy these pictures taken by Amy Geltemeyer (click the thumbnail to view a larger version).
Enjoy this video of The Barton Hills Choir performing the 1962 Sam Cooke classic Twisting the Night Away at the choir summer camp 2012 performance.
