5th and 6th grade members of the Barton Hills choir performed the National Anthem at the season opener for the Austin Aztex at House Park on May 18, joined by a few Zilker Elementary choir members and their wonderful music teacher/choir director Elda Garcia. Fifth and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir performed at Central Market North on Saturday, Dec. 1. An appreciative crowd including Scrooge listened as the choir performed a mix of holiday tunes and rock ‘n’ roll standards. Special guest vocalists from the Barton Hills first and second grade helped out on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
