5th and 6th grade members of the Barton Hills choir performed the National Anthem at the season opener for the Austin Aztex at House Park on May 18, joined by a few Zilker Elementary choir members and their wonderful music teacher/choir director Elda Garcia. Fifth and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir celebrated the release of their new CD Golden Oldies Vol. 3 with a performance at the legendary Nutty Brown Cafe on Sunday, April 28.
The choir performed songs from their CD along with other classic choir hits on the outdoor stage under a beautiful sky before a standing room only crowd.
Along with Choir Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards, musicians included Jake Perlman on drums, Aaron Dembe on guitar, and Jason Brint on bass. Enjoy these photographs from the show taken and shared by Michael Lumbley.
