For the third year in a row, sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir will perform with renowned jazz pianist David Benoit for two performances of his Tribute to Charlie Brown. Joining Benoit for the two shows at One World Theater on Friday, December 11 is acclaimed jazz vocalist Jane Monheit.

Join the Choir as they help relive the classic music and images of A Charlie Brown Christmas with Grammy-nominated Benoit, whose credits include Here’s to you, Charlie Brown, 50 Great Years and the star-studded 40 Years: A Charlie Brown Christmas that reflect his lifelong passion for the music of original Peanuts composer Vince Guaraldi, and solidify Benoit’s role as his musical heir.

Shows begin at 7:00 and 9:30 PM, with tickets available now at One World Theatre.

The Barton Hills Choir performed three holiday favorites at the annual lighting of the Zilker Holiday Tree on Nov. 29. The choir included 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from Barton Hills Elementary, many wearing festive Santa hats, elf ears, or reindeer antlers.

Choir Director Gavin Tabone conducted the choir in singing Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland, and Jingle Bell Rock.

Make plans now to get your holiday spirit in full swing by attending the lighting of the Zilker Holiday Tree, Sunday, November 29 at 6:00 PM. Come early to get a good seat and bring some pocket money for kettle corn and hot chocolate.

Third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir will perform for the sixth year in a row. The choir will sing holiday classics including Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bell Rock, and Winter Wonderland. Accompanying the choir are Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards, Jake Perlman on drums, Tom Treanor on percussion, Jason Nunnenkamp on bass, and Don Cento on guitar.
