A second grade member of the Barton Hills Choir performs Christmas Time is Here, accompanied on keyboards by Choir Director Gavin Tabone. The song is one of the tunes that the 6th grade members of the choir will perform with David Benoit during two performances of A Tribute to Charlie Brown at One World Theater on Dec. 11. For the third year in a row, sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir will perform with renowned jazz pianist David Benoit for two performances of his Tribute to Charlie Brown. Joining Benoit for the two shows at One World Theater on Friday, December 11 is acclaimed jazz vocalist Jane Monheit.

Join the Choir as they help relive the classic music and images of A Charlie Brown Christmas with Grammy-nominated Benoit, whose credits include Here’s to you, Charlie Brown, 50 Great Years and the star-studded 40 Years: A Charlie Brown Christmas that reflect his lifelong passion for the music of original Peanuts composer Vince Guaraldi, and solidify Benoit’s role as his musical heir.

Shows begin at 7:00 and 9:30 PM, with tickets available now at One World Theatre.

2015 Zilker Holiday Tree Lighting video

The Barton Hills Choir performed three holiday favorites at the annual lighting of the Zilker Holiday Tree on Nov. 29. The choir included 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from Barton Hills Elementary, many wearing festive Santa hats, elf ears, or reindeer antlers.

Choir Director Gavin Tabone conducted the choir in singing Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland, and Jingle Bell Rock.
