Barton Hills Choir poses in KUT Studio 1A with Eklektikos host John Aielli (click to enlarge)
KUT has promised to post the Choir’s December performance on Eklektikos to their web site soon. Meanwhile, Kathy Carr provided some nice photos from the recording session in KUT’s studio 1A, including the one above which pictures the choir with beloved KUT radio host John Aielli, host of Eklektikos. Check out other photos from the session using the Flickr thumbnails on the right side of the BHC web site.
Sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir were recorded by a KLRU video crew in the Music Room on December 4 performing several songs for inclusion in a holiday program called “In Context: Voices of Light.” The hour long program was directed by Dutch Rall and features performances by a number of Austin singing groups including the Austin Chinese Choir, Mount Zion Baptist Church, Trio Los Vigilantes, Abiding Love Lutheran Church, Capital City Men’s Chorus, Lakeway Baptist Church, and the Barton Hills Choir. The program aired on December 20 and 23, and will be shown again on January 11 and 12 on KLRU.
The Barton Hills Choir performed “Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! and “Winter Wonderland.” Musicians included Choir Director Gavin Tabone and Aaron “Hair Doctor” Dembe. Click on the picture above to view an excerpt of the program which includes these two songs recorded from KLRU HD.

Happy New Year! I hope you are enjoying the holidays. Here’s a BHC web site quick update:
All of the video content on the web site has been reposted with new embedding code which will hopefully help resolve issues some users had when trying to view the video using Internet Explorer for Windows. Many thanks to Cherylann, Lynn, and Kathy for their patient help in troubleshooting this symptom.
Matt Reilly of KUT advises that the radio show originally aired on December 23 featuring the Barton Hills Choir will be posted to the KUT web site soon for those of us who missed the earlier broadcast. Look for a link here as soon as it becomes available.
