Mark your calendars and set your DVR’s: Fifth graders from the Barton Hills Choir will perform live on KEYE TV’s Austin Live show on Friday, December 17 at 4:00 PM. The live performance will also be available via the show’s web site. Be sure to tune in wherever you are!

On December 5 the Barton Hills Choir sang three cheerful holiday songs at the annual lighting of the Zilker Tree. Lynn Williamson shot this video of the performance. The choir included 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from Barton Hills Elementary, many wearing festive Santa hats, elf ears, or reindeer antlers.

The Barton Hills Choir recorded “Sleigh Ride” and “Winter Wonderland” at the Fox 7 Austin studios in downtown Austin on Wednesday, December 1. They are scheduled to air during Christmas week (watch this site for updates). Musicians accompanying the choir included Gavin Tabone on keyboard, Aaron “Hair Doctor” Dembe on electric guitar, and Mitchell Billeaud on sleigh bells.
