Third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir will perform for the fifth year in a row. The choir will sing holiday classics including Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bell Rock, and Winter Wonderland. Accompanying the choir are Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards, Jake Perlman on drums, Tom Treanor on percussion, Jason Nunnenkamp on bass, and Don Cento on guitar.
5th and 6th grade members of the Barton Hills Choir will perform in October at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. This year the ACL Festival expands to two weekends, with six full days of live music in Zilker Park performed by over 130 artists. 75,000 music fans attend the Festival each day.
The Choir will be showcased on the Zilker Stage at noon on Friday, October 4 and at the same time on Friday, October 11. The Choir performed at the ACL Festival previously in 2009 and 2011. This year the choir will perform songs by headliners Muse and Wilco, along with other choir classics. Musicians accompanying the choir include Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards, Jake Perlman on drums, Jason Brint on bass, and Don Cento on guitar.
