Fifth and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir shared the stage with legendary Austin musicians Charlie Sexton and Nakia for the ‘All The Children Boogie: Tribute to David Bowie’ at the Scottish Rite Theatre on March 18th. The Barton Hills Choir performed with Austin legends Charlie Sexton and Nakia on Friday at the All The Children Boogie: Tribute to David Bowie at the Scottish Rite Theatre, earning many new fans.
Among those impressed was Yahoo Music Editor Lyndsey Parker who named them as one of “The 5 Best Things We Saw at SXSW 2016 Friday.” Parker referred to the BHC members as “little wonders” and declared “These 5th- and 6th-graders were the real cool kids at SXSW.”
