Family Time Rocks! LP Cover

Summer members of the Barton Hills Choir recorded the Gavin Tabone original song Brand New Day for inclusion on the newly released Family Time Rocks! The Universe album.

Family Time Rocks! is a project launched by Sara Hickman to promote her belief that “families who create together, do great together!” As Sara describes it:

This was a concept I had that contains many levels: a website with information for kids, parents and teachers; an actual band performing songs for families at live shows, and outreach within schools/HEB in-stores to promote creativity within families, all supported by a CD that contains music and poems, interspersed with short ideas from a variety of different ethnic/cultural backgrounds given by actual families sharing what they like to do in their homes for creative fun.

The album Family Time Rocks! The Universe was released November 1, 2010, and includes 37 tracks of songs, poetry, and conversations from people of different cultures/ethnicities speaking in their native tongues about creative things they like to do in their families. Accompanying the album are games and activities for home and the classroom to start kids and adults alike thinking about constant creativity.

Best of all, Family Time Rocks! The Universe is available as a free download from the Family Time Rocks! web site. You can also download Brand New Day as an individual track.
