Check out the newly updated Artist Bio page about the Barton Hills Choir at the Austin City Limits Festival web site!

This is the fourth year the Choir has performed at the ACL Festival, with previous appearances in 2009, 2011, and 2013.

They are especially honored this year to be joined onstage by special guest Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian to perform Me and the Major, Write About Love, and I Didn’t See It Coming from Belle and Sebastian.

The Barton Hills Choir is performing Friday, October 3rd on the Bevintel Stage from 11:15 AM-12:00 PM, and on Friday, October 10 at the Zilker Stage from 11:15 AM-12:00 PM.

You can see Murdoch performing with Belle and Sebastian the same evenings from 7:15 PM to 8:15 PM on the RetailMeNot Stage.

Friday day passes for Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 are still available but going fast, so get your tickets now to see these very special shows!

Stuart Murdoch to accompany BHC at ACL shows

The Barton Hills Choir will be performing at the Austin City Limits Music Festival this year on both Fridays – October 3rd and 10th at 11:15am. The choir will perform many songs from the Scottish band Belle and Sebastian and front man Stuart Murdoch will accompany the choir on three tunes – Me and the Major, Write About Love, and I Didn’t See It Coming.

Mr. Murdoch met the choir at this year’s SXSW festival where the choir performed for the screening of his movie, God Help The Girl, at the Paramount Theatre.

Here’s a video of one of the Murdoch tunes recorded by the choir this summer.

The Barton Hills Choir is excited to be one of the select musical performers at the 2014 Austin City Limits Music Festival to be held October 3-5 and 10-12 at Zilker Park.

This will be the Choir’s fourth time to perform at ACL Fest, previously appearing in 2009, 2011, and on both weekends in 2013.

Weekend passes are now on sale, so get yours now and don’t miss one of the premier music festivals in the world, held less than two miles from Barton Hills Elementary.

BHC to perform at SXSW showing of ‘God Help The Girl’

5th and 6th grade members of the Barton Hills Choir will be performing songs from Stuart Murdoch’s new movie God Help The Girl during SXSW at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, March 15th, at 5pm. Stuart Murdoch, from Belle and Sebastian, wrote and directed the movie and there will be a viewing after the choir performance.
