The official 2010/2011 Barton Hills Choir CD entitled Golden Oldies will be available beginning Tuesday, April 12. The CD was produced by Choir Director Gavin Tabone, mixed and mastered by Jake “Mr. Bubbles” Perlman, with artwork by Jason “Boom Boom” Brint.

Musicians for the CD include Gavin Tabone on keyboards, Aaron “Hair Doctor” Dembe on guitar and bass, and Jake “Mr. Bubbles” Perlman on drums.

The Barton Hills fourth, fifth and sixth grade choir members put on a fabulous show in front of a large, appreciative audience at the school on February 2. Rolling blackouts due to record low temperatures during the day caused extended power outages at Barton Hills, but things were back to normal in time for the evening performance. Lynn Williamson shot this video which includes:

  • “Love Potion Number Nine” was written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller who also wrote “Hound Dog” and “Yakety Yak.”
  • In the Beach Boy’s “Help Me Rhonda” the name “Rhonda” appears 45 times, and the word “help” appears 61 times.
