On Thursday, March 16 the Barton Hills Choir performed a set of 7 golden oldies at the Texas Library Association Conference at the Austin Convention Center. The choir was accompanied by Choir Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards. All books were closed and the librarians gave the choir their full and appreciative attention.

The 5th and 6th grade members of the Barton Hills Choir will celebrate the release of their new CD with a special performance at the Nutty Brown Cafe on Sunday, April 19 beginning at 7 PM.

This is a video of the Barton Hills Choir from Barton Hills Elementary School in Austin, Texas preparing for their SXSW performance at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, March 15th, 2014. The Choir sang 3 songs from the film God Help The Girl written and directed by Stuart Murdoch and one Belle and Sebastian song. Mr. Murdoch and producer Barry Mendel were in the audience.

5th and 6th grade members of the Barton Hills Choir performed songs from Stuart Murdoch’s new movie God Help The Girl during SXSW at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, March 15th. Stuart Murdoch, from Belle and Sebastian, wrote and directed the movie and there was a viewing after the choir performance.
