Fifth and sixth grade members of the Barton Hills Choir are scheduled to tape a program for AISD’s Channel 22 on May 6. After school the students will travel to the District’s media production studios in Hyde Park. Production of the finished program will take more than a month, but when it airs we’ll be sure to announce it on this web site. In living color, this video taken by Lynn Williamson and edited by Gavin Tabone shows the Barton Hills Choir rehearsing the Beatles’ Nowhere Man, accompanied by their all-star musicians: Choir Director Gavin Tabone on keyboards, Jake “Mr. Bubbles” Perlman on drums, Jason “Mr. Boom Boom” Brint on bass, and Aaron “Hair Doctor” Dembe on guitar.

- Nowhere Man is featured in the Beatles animated movie Yellow Submarine.
- “Nowhere Man” is cited by some experts as a landmark Beatles song since it was their very first original composition not to deal with romantic love in its subject matter.
